Literacy - Stories from other cultures

We have been reading 'Seven Spools Of Thread' for our literacy unit - Stories from other cultures.
Today we pretended to be an African tribe so that we could use the cultural references in the book to help us were our own African stories!

    Is that the book with the 7 brothers who argue all the time but learn how to work together?

    A great book - seems to have provided lots of inspiration for a fun lesson.
